My Community Tasmania (MCT) is a network of social networks set up to provide a coherent community voice that informs government – Local, State and Federal – and other community organisations. MCT is looking to explore the options available for a better future, better standards and better types of service.
Communities of all kinds, and community organizations, need to focus on these things in order to get better value for their taxes, rates, levies, fees and the myriad of other charges imposed and collected by government and other organisations.
A phenomena of our times is the bureaucratic gatekeeping, the nonperformance and the increasing unaccountability that is all too evident in larger organisations with large administrative bodies far removed from their constituencies.
MCT aims to empower Communities of Ownership and Interest in circumnavigating unaccountable administrations and self serving gatekeepers.
